How the 'Girls' Premiere Party Styles Have Evolved
HBO's Girls totally gets me. The show has practically mirrored the lives of millennials in every way, bringing together struggling 20-somethings on the basis of their commonly shared problems. It's no wonder they've been green-lit for yet another season before the current season has even premiered — the characters are totally relatable, IMO. So, on Monday night, I was so excited to see Hannah, Marnie, Jessa, and Shoshanna back together again for the Girls Season 4 premiere party — looking as fabulous as usual.
Seriously, each one of the actresses looked more gorgeous than the next. The ensembles of Lena Dunham, Zosia Mamet, Allison Williams, and Jemima Kirke were fit for the occasion, encompassing everything from bright pops of color to loads of glitz and glamour. In the spirit of the continued success of the show, Lena Dunham took to Instagram to look back at all the premiere nights from the very first season to the one we're currently anticipating — and it's the perfect way to reminisce on the BFF's style evolutions.
In anticipation of the season 4 kickoff next week, let's take a look at the Girls fashion choices from season 1 to season 4, per their premiere parties.
Season 1: Fresh-faced and so innocent.
Season 2: Poised and sophisticated.
Season 3: Old Hollywood glam.
Season 4: Full-blown daring and edgy.
It's safe to say they've grown up a bit, in the best ways possible.
