Who's Attending Cameron's Wedding?
I'm still not used to the idea of Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden dating, but I'd better get used to it. Not only are they engaged, but surprise, allegedly Diaz and Madden are getting married! Tonight. Yep, tonight, as in Monday evening. According to Us Weekly, the happy couple held their rehearsal dinner on Sunday night in Beverly Hills ahead of Monday night's wedding, which will, allegedly, be held at the actress' home, and... that's all we know. Seriously. Hardly any other information has been leaked except that florist and beverage trucks have apparently arrived at Diaz' mansion. Nothing about her undoubtedly flawless dress, nothing about the bridal party, and nothing about the guests. Which is unfortunate, because I need to know who's included in the guest list.
Since Diaz and Madden are doing everything they can do to keep their wedding as secret as possible — very successfully, I might add — there's a lot of guesswork involved before more information is released, most likely after the wedding actually happens. It's not that I blame them for wanting to keep their special day from the prying eyes of the press, but it is kind of a bummer that fun wedding details are being withheld. After all, what's the point of lavish celebrity weddings if you can't live vicariously through the people getting married?
I may have no idea what food or decor they might pick, but I can definitely narrow down the guest list a bit. Which celebrities may be planning to show up to Monday night's ceremony? Here are my picks.
Joel Madden & Nicole Richie
Obvz, Madden's twin brother (and bandmate) and his wife will be in attendance. I would even say it's highly likely that Joel will be Benji's best man, which would be super adorable.
Drew Barrymore
Diaz would never get married without her best friend, Drew Barrymore — nor should she. There's probably not a huge chance Barrymore will bring her adorable daughters, Olive and Frankie, to the wedding, but I'm still holding out hope. Bonus points if Lucy Liu shows up too and they stage a Charlie's Angels reunion at the reception. Maybe the now-defunct Destiny's Child will show up, too? I'm just saying, it would be super epic.
Gwyneth Paltrow
Another one of Diaz's best friends is Gwyneth Paltrow, who Diaz spent a lot of time hanging out with last summer. I wouldn't hate it if Paltrow was involved in the planning part of Diaz's wedding, either — the GOOP goddess is basically the best person for the job.
The Rest of Good Charlotte
And if they wanted to perform at the reception along with Destiny's Child, that would probably be the best combination of early '00s throwback music imaginable.
