Hands up: Who else is tired of winter already? Sure, winter has its appeal — the idea of curling up under the blankets with a steaming mug of cocoa and a good winter book is a comforting thought. But the reality for most of us is that we still have to go out and brave the elements every day. For many, the short daylight hours can be a real struggle, and we begin counting down the moments until spring arrives, bringing with it more sunlight, color and a better mood in general. I am one such person. For me, winter means grey skies, dark days, way too much rain and not nearly enough snow for my liking (snow being the one thing that I find makes the season a little more bearable). Summer only begins when she arrives in Oz and becomes saturated with every hue imaginable.
