Fans & Family React to Teresa's Sentence

Well, the day has officially come. On Monday, Jan. 5, Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice reported to prison in Danbury, Conn. for 15 months after pleading guilty to tax fraud, and I have a feeling it's going to be a long 15 months for her — if it lasts that long.

Because of the white collar nature of Teresa's crime and the fact that she's a celebrity, it wouldn't be surprising if she was let out early for overcrowding or good behavior, but just in case, prepare for her to disappear from the limelight until 2016. Even worse? Her husband, Joe, isn't serving his 41 month sentence until after she's released, so the consequences of their actions will be haunting them for a long time. And regardless of whether you think she deserves to go to jail or not for breaking the law, it's obviously still a heartbreaking situation for her friends and family, especially her children.

Something else that's obvious? The fact that the very passionate Real Housewives fan base definitely seem to be taking Teresa's sentencing hard. That's why it was unsurprising when fans, friends, family, and co-stars of Teresa's flocked to Twitter to react to her reporting to prison.
