Beyoncé's Power Suit is Surprisingly Fun

Although Vanessa Friedman at the New York Times might not consider her a style icon, there's no doubt that when Queen Bey wears a thing — and I mean anything — we all pay attention. Most recently, Beyoncé wore a hot pink power suit on a date with Jay Z, and it made all sorts of sartorial splashes. The look was definitely major, but she pulled it off with style and grace.

The power couple was spotted out and about in New York City on Monday night and although Jay Z wore a fur trimmed coat, it was Beyoncé's pink tailored separates that captured all the attention. She paired the suit with a black and white patterned bustier, black patent pumps, gold hoop earrings and a collection of rings. A curly ponytail, bright red lipstick, and a touch of shimmery gold eyeshadow completed the look.

I'm not usually a fan of hot pink or power suits, but I have to hand it to Queen Bey — she kills this ensemble. The cut might be all business, but the whimsical color makes it date-night appropriate, plus her accessories are totally on point (i.e. minimal without being minimalist). Super cute!
