What do you get when you put four amazingly talented women in one room? Not only do you get a lot of laughs, but you get one fantastic selfie making headlines. That's exactly what happened when Into the Woods stars Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, and Emily Blunt all appeared on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, on Monday. Remember that time DeGeneres broke the Internet with her Oscar selfie? Well, she wanted to do that again, but this time with only Streep. Yep, the perfect Ellen and Meryl selfie. You think that would be easy, right? Yeah, not so much.
Originally, DeGeneres' Oscar selfie was all about getting a picture with Streep, but then everyone jumped in, including that "hog" Bradley Cooper, as Streep calls him. So, DeGeneres wanted to try another attempt, but, sadly, it didn't turn out like she planned. Not only did Blunt and Kendrick jump in the picture (with encouragement from Streep), but Streep's face is completely blocked thanks to Kendrick and Blunt. How dare they push Meryl Streep aside!
You would think that taking a selfie would be pretty simple, but as you can see and watch below, it's a lot of work when Streep is involved.
Maybe one day DeGeneres will get that perfect selfie with the woman who can do no wrong, but, until then, we have this to enjoy.
