Prepare to Be Very Jealous of Kristen Wiig

I'm not a huge fan of Saturday Night Live, to be honest, and not even One Direction appearing on the program Saturday night was enough to get me to tune in. And, as it turns out, all the best things happened after the program had concluded. Okay, not all of the best things, but apparently 1D's Harry Styles danced with Kristen Wiig at the SNL after party. I don't think any paranoid Directioners out there need to worry that Styles is about to make Wiig his new winter girlfriend — or do they? — but this, to me, was funnier than any skit One Direction participated in during the entire night. It only got funnier the more intoxicated Styles became.

Listen, I've seen One Direction up there on stage during their concerts. I know they're not 'N Sync or the Backstreet Boys. 1D doesn't dance. They're amazing singers, all of them, but their concerts are usually spent encouraging people to clap or (in the case of Styles) eating a banana or (in the case of all of them) messing around with each other and falling down. A One Direction concert is already a comedy sketch to me, just with bonus singing. However, Styles' idea of dancing at the SNL after party is all the proof you really need that it's a very good thing the boy band doesn't make any attempts at busting a move on stage. And I say that with great love.

Of course, Wiig has already proven on the Tonight Show that she is a bigger Styles fan than all of us put together, so this must have been a dream come true for her. I'm surprised that people haven't already let the dating rumors fly. (For those of you wrinkling your nose and citing the age difference, I have two words for you: Caroline Flack.) This might have been some dorky dancing, but it was some very intimate dorky dancing. Not to mention the part where Styles looked as though Wiig's body was the only thing keeping him upright. I don't know about you, but I am already in high support of their relationship. Not romantically, but friendship-wise. I'd love to see the two of them hang out and dance at every party from now until forever.
