Rihanna's Diamond Ball Dress Was a Rosy Red Zac Posen Gem — See The Gown From All Angles
Rihanna has wowed us yet again. At her first-ever Diamond Ball, Rihanna wore a rosy red Zac Posen gown. The event supported her Clara Lionel Foundation charity, so it made sense that she didn't go the typical racy and raunchy Rihanna route (high-fashion pasties, anyone?) with her attire. While I absolutely love when RiRi pushes boundaries with her look, this was the time and the place for the elegant and understated red satin gown that she wore. She paired it was a long, sleek ponytail, too.
The Diamond Ball took place in Los Angeles on December 11 and it was quite a fancy event. See Rihanna be classy while covered up, and peep the frock from all angles.
Red Lips Sink Ships
The singer paired the soft, satiny dress with a deep, glossy shade of berry lipstick.
Sleek and Chic Pony
Her ever-changing hair was swept into a low pony that was also extra long and deeply side parted. It didn’t interfere with the top half of her dress and the off-the-shoulder poufs.
Off the Shoulder
Here’s the side view. The dress was relatively simple in its construction but the off-the-shoulder, wing-like top half added some drama.
Permanent Accessories
Rihanna wore a pink cuff over her permanent accessory — her hand tattoo. That massive ring matched the shape of her necklace and her almond-shaped dagger nails.
That's Some Gem
Rihanna’s iced out, teardrop necklace was a total statement bauble. The stone looked dark pink in certain lighting.
Mermaid RiRi
This side view shows off the mermaid-like shape. Rihanna was so lovely as a lady in this rosy red dress.
More Bling
Priceless (or really expensive) bling, her major lashes, and her tattoos complemented the dress.
Movement
The dress shape was a bit constricting, by its very nature, but RiRi still strutted on the red carpet like it weren't no thing.
Origami Sleeves
From this side view, Rihanna wasn’t just rocking a fierce, over-the-shoulder stare. You can also see the origami-like shape of the side pieces.
Last Look
Overall, the rosy dress was pretty and simple. You don’t look at it and immediately think “Rihanna!” But she added her unique touches, styling, and accessories to jazz it up.
