New mom Olivia Wilde is getting back to work. Sure, the actress has a role in an upcoming HBO drama focusing on the '70s era music biz, but that's not all. Olivia Wilde is the face of H&M's Conscious Exclusive, an eco-friendly, sustainable collection. Wilde is also a Revlon brand ambassador — you've probably seen her gorgeous face hawking the drugstore cosmetic brand's wares at your local CVS or Walgreens.
Eco consciousness is something that Wilde has been involved with on many levels, noting that "sustainability is one of my biggest passions." That's obvious. She proved it with her actions, co-founding Conscious Commerce, a charity-driven e-commerce site that supports living and shopping with a conscience, and by partnering with DoSomething's Comeback Clothes initiative, in which they encouraged youth to recycle their clothes.
Wilde is understandably stoked to team up with the fast-fashion brand, since the collection "shows the stylishness of sustainability." She has a point there, since there is sometimes a common and lingering misconception that eco-friendly clothes are like unfashionable burlap sacks. The green fashion initiative has come a long, long way, folks!
Here's what we know about the H&M Conscious Exclusive range that Wilde will rep.
Both the cuts and the details are inspired by a variety of cultures, among them African, Asian, and Indian. Dresses will be the focus, as will hand-drawn prints. I'm already in, without even seeing a sketches. They sound amaze!
The range, crafted from sustainable materials, will launch on April 16 in 200 H&M outposts and online.
I can only hope that her fiance Jason Sudeikis and their adorbable infant son Otis appear together in some advertising for the set.
And while I have you here, these are Wilde's most glam red carpet gowns.
1. Easy Being Green
While Otis was in utero, Wilde's shimmering, liquid-like green dress hugged her curves.
2. Basic Black
This halter neck gown only showed the skin of her arms and her bump was cloaked. The simplicity of this LBD, with the "L" being "long," was off the charts.
3. Starry Night
Wilde's ombre princess dress was the fashion equivalent of a starry night. The full skirt, the sprinkle of shimmer, and those bangs made her a consummate girl crush.
4. A Simply Chic Sheath
The former House star owned it in this straight black column sheath, accessorized with a gold choker and a big bun. She was pretty much flawless... again.
5. Lovely in Lavender
Wilde was strapless, ruffled, and belted in this frilly, lavender frock.
