The Best Celebrity Wedding Dresses In 2014

2014 has been quite the festive year based on the sheer volume of celebrity nuptials — and, therefore, celebrity wedding gowns. George Clooney finally renounced his bachelordom for Amal Alamuddin, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie succumbed to the peer pressure of their children and made their relationship official, and The Hangover star Justin Bartha followed in his character's footsteps by taking the plunge with Lia Smith. Each of these jubilant affairs yielded a one-of-a-kind wedding gown catered to the bride's unique taste and style.

With 2014 being an incredibly liberated year for fashion, celebrity bridal style was far from monotonous. Full ball gowns were favored by the likes of Casey Wilson and Gabrielle Union, but Nell Diamond's nearly infinite train left the realm of traditionalism, and Angelina Jolie's doodle-emblazoned gown threw paparazzi and fans for a loop. And based on the abundance of multiple costume change celebrity brides, I imagine 2015 may see the trend proliferate. However, when it comes to bridal gowns the effect is only truly arresting when the bride is blissful, and the year has seen some especially exultant couples.
