Looking back on the past 12 months, it's really been a roller coaster of a year. There were plenty of ups and downs in Hollywood, but luckily one constant remained together through it all. I'm talking about the dynamic duo of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Whether you love them or hate them, you know you paid attention to these guys this year! Don't worry, it's not your fault that you fixated on Kimye. In fact, there are several reasons why they stole the spotlight. Following their epic engagement in 2013 (complete with a live orchestra and rented baseball stadium), this year the pair finally had their fairytale wedding and officially tied the knot. That wedding also led to the most popular photo on Instagram, because of course it did. In sum, it's basically just Kimye's world and we're all living in it.
After such an eventful year, I can't even imagine what these two will do in 2015, but I kind of can't wait to find out. I'm sure Kim will document all of it via Instagram. And in the mean time, let's take a trip down memory lane. As the year comes to a close, here are 14 of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's best moments in 2014!
Baby Photos
In January, Kim shared baby photos of North West posing with Kanye on Ellen. This was one of the first (of many) glimpses at this precious new family.
The Engagement
OK, these two technically got engaged in 2013, but it wasn't until February of this year that we got to witness the proposal on Keeping Up With the Kardashians . If it didn't make you tear up, you must have no soul.
Vogue Cover
These two became the #WorldsMostTalkedAboutCouple, or at least they tried to, when they had their own hashtag for their Vogue cover shoot.
Met Ball
These two looked fantastic at this year's Met Ball. If there was a grown-up version of Prom King and Queen, they would be it.
Wedding
In May, the moment we've all been waiting for finally occurred: the Kimye wedding. It was practically America's version of the Royal Wedding with how much press it got.
British GQ Awards
British GQ named Kim Kardashian as Woman of the Year. So of course Kim and Kanye hit up the red carpet. Even though some people critiqued her dress, I think they looked great together.
Kidchella
Pshhh, Coachella is overrated. 2014 was the year of Kidchella, aka North West's first birthday party.
Father's Day Snapshot
Napping in matching outfits? Yup, that makes this photo is worthy of its own spot on the list as a memorable Kimye moment. Ugh, adorable!
Kim's Attempt at a Joke
Proving she has a sense of humor, Kim shared this Insta photo of herself and Kanye. Admittedly I don't fully get the joke, since she isn't Kanye's "side chick," but obviously it's some kind of diss. I'm glad to see Kim can crack a joke.
Kim Kardashian: Hollywood Game
Well, this may not directly involve Kanye, but one of Kim's best moments this year was when she usurped Candy Crush as everyone's biggest iPhone addiction. If you didn't spend a solid week (or several weeks...) playing the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game, you really missed out.
Meeting the President
According to Kanye's Twitter, these two met Barack Obama. Oh, how I wish there were photos! Then afterwards, Kimye encouraged everyone to vote. Kim even shared a pixelated KK: Hollywood photo of herself and Obama.
(Even though it wasn't a presidential election, this still was pretty cool.)
North's Halloween Costume
Since North West is their daughter, this is totally worthy of a spot on the list. North's skunk costume was so stinkin' cute, I'm still not over it.
Kanye Defends Kim's Paper Cover
Remember when Kim tried to #BreakTheInternet? Despite parodies galore, her husband had her back, tweeting simply "#ALLDAY" along with a photo of Kim's cover. Or maybe he was just bragging, but hey, either way at least he was proud.
Kanye Smiles
How does this smiling selfie count as a best moment of 2014? The answer is pretty obvious. Kanye has a reputation of being egotistical or a jerk, but this photo proves he is happy — and he's happy with Kim. Awww!
