On Sunday, Unbroken director Angelina Jolie got into a car accident, but no need to worry, because she's reportedly OK. After attending a screening for her new film about Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner and prisoner of the Japanese forces during World War II, supposedly Angelina Jolie's "chauffeured SUV skidded on a wet road and slammed into the curb, popping two tires" in Beverly Hills.
Per X17Online.com, a witness spotted the black Escalade driving along at a "significant" speed when the driver lost control. The witness revealed, "It was pretty bad — the tire exploded and it's amazing nothing worse happened to the car. I wouldn't be surprised if she has whiplash." Well, no word if she does, but apparently, she stayed inside the car involved in the accident for around 30 minutes. Then, once another car arrived, she hopped out, jumped in, and went home, or so I presume.
No further details have been released, but, what we should take away from this is that Jolie is safe and sound. Also, luckily, no one else was inside the car (like her husband Brad Pitt or their children) or involved in the accident, because it could've been much worse.
In video footage published online, the actress/director appears to be fine as she enters the new car, but does not respond to the many paparazzi and reporters gathered who ask if she's OK. Perhaps they're the reason she stayed in the car so long.
