Big News About the 'Boy Meets World' Spinoff

Thank god it's Monday. Because today was the day that the Disney Channel finally decided to greenlight its buzzy TGIF reboot, Girl Meets World.

The series — which will star former Boy Meets World mainstays Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel — centers on a grown-up Cory and Topanga and their young daughter, Riley (Rowan Blanchard). The nostalgic series will begin production this year, but you'll have to be patient: Girl Meets World won't hit the airwaves until 2014.

Until then, take solace in the fact that you'll be able to revisit your childhood on the small screen in just a year's time, and that everything turned out peachy for Cory and Topanga. According to the new series, Cory works as a history teacher, and Topanga owns a pudding shop. And, yes, Mr. Feeny (William Daniels) is still around too.
