'10 Things I Hate About You' Cast Reunites 15 Years Later — Where Are They Now?
Nineties kids everywhere were excited to hear that the 10 Things I Hate About You cast reunited 15 years later. The movie's screenwriter, Karen McCullah, tweeted a photo of herself with members of the cast. Julia Stiles, Gabrielle Union, Larisa Oleynik, and, of course, Heath Ledger were absent from the photo. Nevertheless, it was great to see most of the cast together, and it made me miss them. What have they been up to since the movie was released in 1999?
Julia Stiles
Julia Stiles played the main role of angst-ridden teen Kat Stratford in 10 Things I Hate About You. The movie gave her a springboard to play many other roles in hit movies including Save the Last Dance, The Bourne Identity, and Silver Linings Playbook. She also had a 10-episode story arc on Dexter in 2010. Nowadays, Stiles is staring in the TV series Blue, where she plays a single mother who moonlights as a call girl.
Gabrielle Union
Gabrielle Union has never stopped working since 10 Things I Hate About You wrapped up. She is credited as an actress in 69 productions on IMDB, including my personal favorite Bring It On. Wow, that’s a lot. She is currently starring in the hit BET TV series Being Mary Jane. Union married NBA superstar Dwyane Wade on August 30, 2014.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Joseph Gordon-Levitt was in hit movies like 500 Days of Summer, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Inception, and The Dark Knight Rises. He also has three movies in post-production, including The Snowden Files, so it looks like we are going to see a lot of Gordon-Levitt in the future.
Larisa Oleynik
Since 10 Things I Hate About You hit theaters, Larisa Oleynik has guest starred in many TV series including Pretty Little Liars, Mad Men, and Hawaii Five-O. She even played homage to her famous TV character Alex Mack in a 2014 episode of Robot Chicken.
