Prabal Gurung for MAC Cosmetics Is Golden, Glorious, Glam, And Bound To Sell Out In Seconds
MAC's limited edition collaborations with fashion designers or other (pop) cultural icons, from Rihanna to Miley Cyrus to Miss Piggy, are always an event for beauty junkies and makeup addicts. The latest MAC designer collaboration is with Prabal Gurung and it's a golden, it's gilded, and it's a glorious range that is bound to sell out before you get your foot in the door of a MAC boutique or near a MAC counter.
The brand does these partnerships often throughout the year, with the MAC x Rocky Horror pairing blowing our minds earlier this fall. But the frequency never dilutes my excitement for a new MAC x insert-designer-name-here mashup.
MAC x Prabal Gurung is everything. It hits counters on November 26 and is available through December 24, so it arrives just in time for pre-Black Friday shopping and will be avail up to last-minute holiday chaos. It'll be available online on November 20.
For this partnership, MAC ditched its signature matte black cases, which are recyclable as part of their Back to MAC program, in favor of glam gold casing. You won't want to return or recycle these, as they are works of art. They can be collectible or even reusable, if you're skilled at de-potting makeup.
