Chelsea Handler Goes Topless (Again) On Twitter

by Gina Vaynshteyn

Our collective party girlfriend, Chelsea Handler, posted a new photo of her topless self steering a boat on the Amazon River to promote her Netflix series, Uganda Be Kidding Me. It is as majestic as it is political and actually pretty awesome. The picture depicts Handler and some dude, both naked from the waist up with a caption that reads, “Exercising my human right to work side by side with my fellow man.” Yeah girl. You get it. You get that Amazon River and your basic rights as a human.

If you’re not familiar with the Chelsea vs. Instagram Battle of the Boobz, here’s the low-down: about a week ago, Handler posted an Instagram photo of herself riding a horse side-by-side with a photo of Russia’s dictator, I mean, president Putin. Neither was wearing a top, and it was hilarious. Instagram, who is a total killer of all things fun and slightly naughty, took it down because, like Scout Willis and Rihanna, Handler violated the “no nipples on Instagram because nipples are ~PrOvoCaTiVe~” policy.

Handler, feeling rightfully outraged, posted a screenshot of Instagram’s chastisement and stated, “if a man posts a photo of his nipples, it’s ok, but not a woman? Are we in 1825?”

Some can argue that since Instagram is free, they can do whatever they want. Including banning photos of nipples but being totally chill with damaging #thinspo or violent pictures. But hey, that’s your prerogative, Instagram. For now, I am totally in support of Chelsea Handler and her wild, topless adventures (that are totally proving a point, obviously.)
