Celebrities With Tattoos of Celebrities

by Marenah Dobin

As you surely know, many celebrities are pretty inked up. And, as you've also probably seen, fans of celebs like getting tats in honor of their favorite stars. But! Have you ever noticed how many celebrities are hardcore fans themselves? A few celebrities have tattoos of other celebrities on their bodies taking super fandom to another level. Sometimes these are celebrity besties, and other times this is just admiration from a far.

Getting a tattoo of another person is pretty crazy to me. Before you get a tattoo, you need to decide where you want to put it, if it should be in black or in color, what it should look like, how big it should be, and if you really do want it in the first place. Maybe those are just my thoughts though. I tend to overthink almost every situation, and this is one of the reasons that I actually do not have a tattoo. So as for the famous people who have tattoos of other famous people, does this mean that they are fans just like us — who, hopefully, thought out their tattoos, or is this some other territory of vain celebrity culture that cannot be easily explained? Whether it's based on a dare, a lost bet, or even drunkenness, there are plenty of excuses that drive people to get random tattoos. So what were the reasons for these celebs?

Megan Fox's Marilyn Monroe Tattoo

Megan Fox used to have a big tattoo of Marilyn Monroe's face on her arm. She ended up regretting it and got the tattoo removed in 2013 when she felt it did not accurately represent her. In an Esquire interview, Fox said, "I started reading about her and realized that her life was incredibly difficult. It's like when you visualize something for your future. I didn't want to visualize something so negative."

Steve-O's Steve-O Tattoo

This one is a bit of a stretch, but Steve-O has a tattoo of himself on his back giving himself a thumbs up. A GIANT tattoo. It also has the text "Yeah dude, I rock!" and his own autograph. This just looks very painful and expensive when you can just look straight ahead into a mirror. I guess he is his own biggest fan though?

Ryan Cabera's Ryan Gosling Tattoo

Ryan Cabrera has a Ryan Gosling tattoo, but it's not of himself. Cabrera told Ryan Seacrest that he has "the Bentley of tattoos" with this one on his calf. So what's the deal? Apparently, Cabrera and his friends play a game called "Tattoo Roulette" where they pick tattoos for each other. I wonder what Gosling thinks of this. He should reciprocate with a tattoo of Cabrera's hair on his calf.

Johnny Manziel's Drake-Inspired Tattoo

It's no secret that Johnny Manziel and Drake are boys, but Manziel was a fan before they even met. Manziel had "OVO" tattooed on the inside of his wrist before their bromance began. OVO stand's for October's Very Own which symbolizes Drake's birth month and represents his brand as a rapper. I'm waiting for Drake to get a Johnny Football tattoo to reciprocate.

Drake's Aaliyah Tattoo

In turn, Drake is apparently a big enough Aaliyah fan to get a big tattoo of her face on his back. In an interview with Soul Culture , Drake said, "I just found comfort in all of Aaliyah’s music and her melody choices and the things that she talks about — and how she always conveyed these amazing emotions but never got too sappy."

Snoop Dogg's Nate Dogg Tattoo

Snoop Dogg debuted a tattoo of his close friend Nate Dogg at his funeral in 2011. Underneath the photo are the words "All Doggs Go to Heaven." The Doggs were very close friends and frequent collaborators and it is sweet of Snopp Dogg to want to have his bro by his side at all times.

Wow, and I thought I was devoted to loving celebrities. Some of these stories are funny and some are touching, but you can't say that any of these people shy away from commitment.
