Who is 'RHOA' Newbie Claudia Jordan?

When Real Housewives of Atlanta returns for its seventh season, veteran housewife Kenya Moore’s Los Angeles pal Claudia Jordan joins the RHOA cast as the newest fulltime member. If the trailer is any indication of how the drama will play out this season, this media maven and rookie housewife is sure to have plenty of screen time. Claudia isn’t exactly a stranger to the celebrity scene. Born in Providence, she’s had fame on her mind since she won the title of Miss Rhode Island USA. You might already recognize her as the witty TV and radio host from L.A. and now you’ll love her when she joins your favorite Atlanta natives. But before the inevitable housewife drama ensues, you might want to get to know the newbie a little bit better.

Each of Bravo's hit TV series' casts is unique to its individual city, and none more so than Atlanta. Even for someone who doesn't watch the show, I can still tell you who NeNe Leakes is when I see her. Well, I didn't have to look far to enlighten myself about Claudia either, so I have no doubt she'll be just as popular amongst Houswives fans. Her presence on social media tells it all.

THE TV/RADIO HOST HAS GOT A BIG PERSONALITY

By now I'm sure you've heard about Claudia's radio time, working with celebs like Jamie Foxx and Rickey Smiley. But did you know she also had her own SiriusXM show called "The Claudia Jordan Show?" Now that's some serious business. The promo shows NeNe, who also has a big personality, calling Claudia by some nasty names, so I'm looking forward to the witty remarks that I'm sure this comedienne will come up with in return.

SHE’S ACTED IN NUMEROUS COMMERCIALS AND MUSIC VIDEOS

Since Claudia is practically a super model, she has a fairly unforgettable face, don't you think? So if you're thinking she looks familiar, it's because she isn't just some voice on the radio. You may have also seen her in commercials for giant name-brand companies like Coors Light, Nike and Sears. She doesn't sing as far as I know, but she's also stolen the show in several R&B and Hip Hop videos like you see in her Instagram #TBTs.

BEFORE THE MOVE TO L.A., SHE HELD THE TITLE OF MISS RHODE ISLAND USA

Not only that, but the pageant found her worthy of judging and hosting during other shows. Following her own win in 1997, this Miss Rhode Island was invited back to host the Miss Universe Pageant in 2010 and participated as a judge the same year for the celebrated Miss USA. According to her Facebook, the beautiful and talented young Claudia was actually "thicker" than most of the other contestants and still rocked it. Serious role model right here, ladies.

THE STUNNER WAS A MODEL — AND FOR DAMN GOOD REASON

In between her busy life as Miss Rhode Island, shining in music videos and playing her part as radio and TV hostess, Claudia somehow manages to find time for a modeling career on the side. It really isn't all that surprising, though, considering every photographer in the world should want to shoot her. Based on my modeling knowledge from Tyra Banks,, Claudia has got the bone structure, the silky smooth skin and the sexy but not vulgar look that would probably see her far in the industry if that's the path she chose.

Stalking Claudia's social media, I couldn't find one bad thing about her — no celebrity rivalries, no dirty pictures and nothing else of the sort. So far, I think she'll make an excellent addition to the cast, but one can only hope that her demeanor stays as clean as it seems. From the promo it looks to me like there's some drama headed her way.
