You Have To See North's Latest Wardrobe Addition
The First Family of Fashion is about to become even more stylish. Kim Kardashian posted a picture to her Instagram of the latest wardrobe addition for her daughter North West — three mini Balmain blazers. Though no word on how much these babies cost, the adult versions run between $2,500 and $8,000. So basically a few months rent. NBD.
But the black-and-white blazers with gold buttons have more behind them than just being an extremely generous gift from Olivier Rousteing, Balmain's creative director. The coats are actually custom (because, duh, Balmain certainly does not have a baby line) mini versions of three adult blazers mama Kim already owns herself. I mean, when I was a toddler, I was wearing matching mommy-and-me pajamas my mom sewed herself. North is wearing custom Balmain before she's old enough to even pronounce Balmain. I'm not entirely sure whether to be impressed or appalled.
This definitely isn't the first time the fashionable toddler has been gifted designer clothing. One-year-old Nori will be adding her Balmain's to her already extensive collection of Lanvin, Givenchy, and Hermés, to name just a few. But I have to say, if Kim is serious about North having to get a job like a normal teenager and work for what she wants, is it really the smartest idea to be gifting her with such extravagancies? I mean, how much Balmain can you buy making minimum wage?
