Britney's Rumored New Dude Has a Famous Dad

Well, in case y'all didn't know, Nov. 5 marks special and monumental event in the city of Las Vegas: it's Britney Spears Day! Caesars Entertainment announced last month that Spears would be honored by her adopted home and site of her Pieces of Me residency with her own holiday. This means that you can listen to Britney on Spotify all day and do the "I'm a Slave 4 U" choreography (that you have religiously re-enacted since you were 14 years old) without a care in the world! So it seems that all things are going well in Britney-land but there's also a new little something-something that could be making her smile that much brighter. Reportedly, Britney Spears is dating Charlie Ebersol. And, if my calculations are correct, now you're probably wondering who on earth Charlie Ebersol is.

It's only been about two months since Spears broke things off with her boyfriend of a year, David Lucado, over a video that leaked of him allegedly cheating on her. She promptly decided to kick him to the curb, and the "Stronger" Britney we all love came out and she was NOT shy in expressing how she felt, tweeting, "Ahhhh the single life!" almost immediately. GET IT, GIRL!

So this brings us now to Charlie Ebersol. Apparently, it's only been a few weeks, but according to a source, the couple is having "a lot of fun together." Who is the tall, dark, and handsome man that is hanging ot with the Queen of Pop? Is he more than a rebound? Let's figure this out!

He comes from a show business family

Charlie Ebersol is the son of Dick Ebersol and Susan St. James, and for those who don't recognize that last name, Poppa Ebersol was the co-creator of a little show called Saturday Night Live. Dick Ebersol then went on to become President of NBC Sports, and executive producer of the Olympics and various exclusive sporting events.

He is a survivor

In 2004, Charlie Ebersol was on board a private plane with his father and younger brother, Teddy, that crashed soon after takeoff. In a report that describes the incident, Ebersol is said to have pulled his father from the wreckage, but sadly, though he and his father survived, 14-year-old Teddy died in the horrific crash.

He is a TV producer

After his brush with death, Ebersol changed the direction of his life, telling Sports Business Daily, "Before the plane crash, I mistook being good at something for loving something. After the plane crash, I only did things I loved... it changed my life. It changed my approach to everything." He followed in the footsteps of his father and entered the world of television production. After producing the controversial NBC series, The Wanted, he dabbled in sports documentaries and was executive producer of reality show, The Moment, on USA Network, which gives people a chance at reclaiming their career dreams they put on hold when their lives took an unexpected turn.

He's dated famous starlets before

Before news of his cozying up to Spears, Ebersol was no stranger to dating within the Hollywood scene. In 2008, when he was 25 years old, news leaked that he was linked to tennis star Maria Sharapova. Although never fully confirmed, he was also seen about town with actress Sophia Bush, arriving side by side with her to his birthday party in December 2012.

He is a normal dude

Although he's grown up in the circle of television royalty and mingled with some of Hollywood's finest, Ebersol seems to be a really down-to-earth guy. And I came to this highly scientific conclusion by lurking his Instagram, which you know, says EVERYTHING about a person when you just start dating. (I wonder if Britney is guilty of Instagram stalking?) A quick browse through and I learned that he 1) supports his family, 2) really loves cupcakes, 3) likes cute dogs, and 4) takes really cute selfies and not too many of them. I think I have a crush on this guy already.
