Which Dior Should J.Law Wear for 'Mockingjay'?

by Rosie Narasaki

Get ready to hold onto your hats, because the parade of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 press tours and premieres falls fast upon us. It's such a huge franchise that now that we're on to the third film, so the international tour (last year they hit every destination from Berlin to Los Angeles) is sure to be quite the red carpet event. I'm betting on a week of Oscar-worthy dresses all around!

I mean, look at the Mockingjay cast — Elizabeth Banks has historically had a lot of fun with her practically-incandescently bright, Effie-inspired couture (I especially loved her hot pink, holographic-sequined Marc Jacobs dress), Jena Malone is always (at the very least) interesting to watch, and Natalie Dormer has great edgy-bombshell style (her J. Mendel number at the Emmys this year was totally fab). Finally, you've got the star of the show, Jennifer Lawrence. Historically, she's usually bested by Banks on the Hunger Games red carpets — and she's sure to get some tough competition from Malone and Dormer — but I haven't given up hope yet.

Dior (which she'll almost certainly be wearing at most — if not all — of the premieres) doesn't always do well by her, but here are a few awesome dresses from their recent runway shows that J. Law could absolutely kill in. Take a look!

Cool, right? She should keep the sunglasses (but ditch the boots).

It's tricky, sure, but I think Jen could definitely pull it off!

Goodness knows she rocked this silhouette at the Oscars a couple years back — why not give it another whirl? Add the funky shape to the fact that she looks amazing in white, and you've got yourself a winner.

Um, the skirt's gorgeous, and she would totally rock that shade of cornflower blue. Forget Jennifer Lawrence — everyone should wear this dress!

Another mini dress, with a youthful, fun vibe — and don't you love the kicky print?

Let's all hope Dior does Jen right this time!
