Jessa Duggar Is Married!

by Tanya Ghahremani

Though I'm sure we're going to hear all about it in a future episode of 19 Kids and Counting, the beauty of the Internet age, of course, is truly never having to wait for any information at all. According to Us Weekly, 19 Kids and Counting star Jessa Duggar and her fiancé Ben Seewald are officially married, making Jessa the second Duggar to tie the knot this year, after her older sister Jill married Derick Dillard this past summer.

So, how was the wedding? Well — for starters, the size of the guest list made the Duggar family look small. According to reports, Jessa and Ben exchanged vows in front of "nearly 1000 guests," which is pretty much the same amount of people that were present for Jill's wedding this past June. To someone not used to growing up in a family with 19 children (Ben himself comes from a family of 7 siblings, so, same deal), I'm sure that seems like an excessive amount — I mean, think of having to meet and greet every single person who comes to the wedding! Exhausting! — but I suppose it might be fairly normal for the Duggar family considering the size of Jill's wedding was about the same.

Anyway, the wedding ceremony reportedly took place at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas, and lasted about an hour. Younger sister Jinger was the maid of honor, and Jessa had six bridesmaids in total: Jessica Seewald, Danielle Seewald, Michelle Seewald, Peyton Weiss, Anna Hackel, and Amara Query.

Jessa and Ben were engaged for about 11 months before tying the knot. No word on when the wedding will be seen on the family's TLC reality show, but, considering Jill's wedding took place in June and it only recently aired in a new episode, it might not be until next year. (In other words, we're gonna have to wait a while before seeing whether or not someone got Jessa and Ben that Owl night-light they requested on their wedding registry list.)

Congrats to the couple!
