The world is still reeling over the break up of Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin — OK, not really, but we're still talking about it, and we will most likely continue to do just that until we learn just went wrong. On Monday, it was reported that J. Law and Martin allegedly broke up because of their "insane" schedules. Now, according to People, the duo said sayonara to one another due to Martin's ex, Gwyneth Paltrow. I guess three is a crowd.
Despite their conscious uncoupling, Martin and Paltrow have remained close, which makes sense seeing as they have two children together. Reportedly, "multiple sources" told the magazine that Paltrow might have been too close with Martin for Lawrence's liking, and she's the one who broke things off. "She was tired of the spotlight on their relationship and she also thought that Chris and Gwyneth were a little too close for comfort. It was an odd situation for her."
The "insider" also added, "It was kind of serious but also not really in a sense. It was really just [Jennifer] having fun and living in the moment, enjoying time with someone she likes, but [Chris and Gwyneth's] close relationship got to her in the end and she felt like it wasn't worth it."
Obviously, Martin and Paltrow have a long history and will always maintain a close connection. It makes sense why Lawrence wouldn't want to be a part of that, nor would she probably want to get in the way of a family — if that's where any of this is going.
Whether these reports are true or not, Lawrence is young and has her whole life ahead of her to find someone special. There are plenty of fish in the sea!
