Halloween is just around the corner, and part of the pre-festivity fun lies in reminiscing about costumes from years past. As anyone with a hint of an interest in the holiday knows, Heidi Klum embraces Halloween costumes like it's her raison d'être, even without former partner-in-crime Seal by her side. What daring ensemble will she select this year? She could veer the opposite direction from last year's elderly woman getup and dress herself as a baby, or perhaps select another incarnation of her beloved witch costume. In anticipation of Klum's 2014 getup, here are her most famed costumes to date, ranked from least creative to most inspiringly spirited.

Compared to Klum’s other feats of costume creativity, this simple Egyptian Goddess getup doesn’t even compare.

Though Klum scores major cosmetic points for this glittering work of genius, the rest of this feline ensemble isn’t the cat’s meow.
12. Red Witch
The supermodel clearly made quite an effort in putting this look together, but its compilation of seemingly unrelated pieces is like a bad mashup. Bones, fangs, and a red sailor’s chapeau? I don’t quite follow her.

Klum certainly ruffled a few feathers in this lofty crow costume.
10. Planet Of The Apes
Klum and Seal’s matching gorilla getups were a sweet — if eccentric — couples costume, but the model has worn better in honor of her favorite holiday.

Klum must have a fixation on fake teeth, as this is one of at least five pairs the model has worn on Hallow’s Eve.

Why Klum added a bleeding grin to this costume is beyond me, but the fact that she rode a horse to her own party speaks volumes of her commitment.

Once again, Klum went all-out for a costume that makes little sense to the outside world. However, the gold dust and grills make a compelling combination.

The model put every molecule of ingenuity to work in crafting this superhero/Transformers-esque costume, and deserves significant recognition for even attempting to walk in the contraption.

As the Hindu goddess Kali, Klum made a statement which struck some as culturally insensitive. However, the costume itself was quite a feat of creativity.
