What's the Worst Thing Justin Bieber Has Done? A Ranking of His Top 14 Offenses

Bieber made his bodyguards carry him along the Great Wall of China, which, to be honest, might be exactly the kind of douchey thing I’d secretly want to do if I were famous. The internet freaked out about this, but I’m inclined to believe that it was (mostly) a joke — I doubt these guards carried him across the entire stretch of the wall, so let’s chill out, people.

According to reports, Bieber threw a fit when a London nightclub refused to let in his younger friends for his 19th birthday celebration. It’s annoying (and way too common) for celebrities to throw temper tantrums at clubs, but at least Bieber was trying to make sure his underage friends were able to hang out with him — even if they had to break the law to do so.

According to reports, Bieber and his crew were kicked out of a nightclub in Vienna because the crew groped women at the club and smashed their cameras. Though the report does seem to indicate that it was mostly Bieber’s “people” causing the most trouble and not Bieber himself, this ranks because Bieber has complete control over whom he associates with — and, clearly, he picked very, very wrong.

Rumor has it that Bieber cheated on his then-girlfriend (and maybe now-girlfriend?) Selena Gomez with Rihanna in 2011, when the couple was just starting to fall for one another. According to reports, that’s what caused Gomez to breakup with Bieber the first time — she discovered his infidelity late and was “devastated” by it. If this is true, it sucks and was completely unfair to Gomez. Of course, given that Bieber and Gomez had just started dating, it wasn’t the worst stunt he could have pulled.

Here’s a Drunk Bieber story for the ages. Bieber left an NYC nightclub with his crew, proceeded to pee in a mop bucket, and then yelled “Fuck Bill Clinton!” while spraying a framed photo of the former President with Windex. Is this obnoxious? Absolutely. Does it sound exactly like some of the drunk college stories I’ve heard from friends? Unfortunately, yes. Sorry, Bill Clinton.

Justin Bieber’s best friend Lil Za is arrested for cocaine possession… at Bieber’s house. Bieber is not arrested for the drugs, even though they were “in plain sight” when the police raided his home in connection to his vandalism incident. Hmm. This can’t rank very high because technically they weren’t Bieber’s drugs, but my cynical mind can’t help but think Lil Za could have taken the wrap for his best bud.

So… yeah. A then-19-year-old Bieber allegedly “visited” a brothel in Brazil. Prostitution is legal in Brazil, but brothels are not — only individuals can make money off the sex trade. According to reports, Bieber and his crew picked out two women at the brothel to take back to their hotel. Is this the sketchiest thing ever? Absolutely! This ranks high on the list not because Bieber was, you know, attempting to hook up with prostitutes, but it was also during an “off” period of his relationship with Selena Gomez — is that really how you deal with a breakup, J? Ugh.

Bieber and his friends allegedly egged a neighbor’s home which, according to reports, caused $20,000 worth of damages. This ranks high on the list of Bieber’s worst actions because that’s outrageously immature behavior, but it could be worse. He could have had his crew egg his actual neighbor.

Apparently Bieber is super into tagging, because he was caught illegally spray-painting walls in both Colombia and Brazil. There’s something particularly annoying about how entitled Bieber feels with other people’s property — once, maybe, but twice? And you just KNOW the Biebs isn’t exactly spray-painting Banksy on these walls. Dude, buy a canvas.

A video surfaced of a 14-year-old Bieber singing a parody of “One Less Lonely Girl” using a racial slur instead of the word “girl” in the lyrics. The video is offensive and terrible, but Bieber did use it as an opportunity to apologize for his actions, stating: “I thought it was OK to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance.”

The hell, Biebs?! According to reports, Bieber called a (former) fan a “beached whale” during his stay at the Hyatt Regency in Perth, Australia. Witnesses say the pop star nearly brought the poor girl to tears. It’s one thing to be a fat-shaming jerk, and another thing to be a fat-shaming jerk to your own fans. Bieber can use his age and inexperience as an excuse for a lot of bad behavior, but we learned that name calling isn’t cool in kindergarden — which is why this comes very close to topping the list.

Bieber gave his pet hamster to a screaming fan outside of his concert in 2012, telling her to “take care of him.” (The hamster died three months later.) That wasn’t the first time Bieber was the worst at pets — his monkey Mally was seized in Germany after Bieber attempted to take the pet into Munich without the proper paperwork. The monkey now lives in Serengeti Park, a zoo in Germany. Bieber’s terrible track record with pets is not only pathetic (he has so many people on staff that one could devote their entire job to taking care of a pet) it’s also extremely reckless — Bieber’s actions directly caused harm to another living thing. Not cool at all.

Well, we all saw this coming. Bieber was arrested under suspicion for a DUI after drag racing in Miami in early 2014. Driving under the influence of alcohol is dangerous enough, but toss in drag racing and you’re basically a disaster waiting to happen. No one was hurt, but someone easily could have been — and that’s why it ranks so highly.
