Katie Couric, Lance Bass, & Katy Perry: Labor Day Weekend Was Full of Weddings & Proposals
Katie Couric is engaged to her babely banker boyfriend of two years, John Molner. Molner, a financier, proposed to Couric in the Hamptons over the Labor Day weekend. What a beautiful, successful couple ... it really grinds my gears. But they're not the only ones who solidified their love this Labor Day — it was a big weekend for celebrity couples. Check out who got engaged, who got hitched, and who didn't.
Seth Meyers' Weekend Update: He's Married!
Nooo, my dreams of co-hosting Weekend Update with Seth Meyers were already dashed when he announced he was leaving SNL to take over Late Night, but now he's no longer single, either. Meyers married his fiancee, lawyer Alexis Ashe, on Martha's Vineyard this weekend.
Kate Bosworth has a Montana Mountain Dream Wedding
Kate Bosworth got married to director Michael Polish over the weekend in Philipsburg, Montana. She wore an Oscar de la Renta custom gown and he wore a Brooks Brothers suit and they rode away in a horse and carriage and everyone seethed with jealousy under the Montana sunshine.
Lance Bass Proposes
"I'll Be Good For You!" I imagine Lance Bass crooning when he proposed to his boyfriend actor Michael Turchin over the weekend in New Orleans. That, or the title of any other 'NSYNC ballad. They're a really cute couple — I just hope that Bass has time to plan a wedding AND record an 'NSYNC reunion album.
Katy Perry Denies John Mayer
Your favorite annoying couple is apparently NOT getting married. John Mayer proposed to Katy Perry over the weekend, but she was too nervous after the dissolution of her marriage to Russell Brand. Part of me is thrilled because god, do I loathe John Mayer, but I don't think he will deal with the rejection well.
