The Internet woke up Thursday morning to a wonderful surprise. Months after the collection was first announce, more fabulous and jaw-dropping images of the Alexander Wang for H&M collection have been released. The previously leaked images indicated that Wang x H&M would be futuristic, combining his stark-but-chic, semi-minimal, and often black aesthetic with urban and athletic street style. The new Wang for H&M images and lookbook further that notion. The pieces are athletic activewear that's been pumped up several notches.
Stella McCartney pulled off a similar feat when she teamed up with Adidas for a range of snazzy workout wear. Wang for H&M follows suit, but it's certainly meant to be more wearable for the street than in the gym.
Sure, some of it feels a bit more editorial than the H&M basics we're used to, but there are key pieces that you'll want to add to your closet — provided it doesn't sell out in three seconds. Actually, that's going to happen, so prepare for it and grab what you can when you can. No regrets.
The brand is hosting a ringside reveal Thursday night at 8:15PM. Since the collection has such an athletic skew, it makes sense for it to unfold in what feels like boxing style.
These are some of the most memorable and covetable looks and pieces. The line is available November 6.
This is the Wang x H&M take on tough and sexy tomboy. This is what you'd wear if you want to go, like, polar bearing in January.
This doesn't look like mass market, high-low, does it?
