Stephen Collins Is Being Investigated Once Again

As time goes on and more information is learned about the Stephen Collins child molestation scandal, the situation just gets increasingly more disturbing. Reportedly, another person has reported him to the authorities. This person claims that the actor allegedly molested her when she was only 13 years old. It is absolutely horrifying to think that this person had to live with what he allegedly did to her for the past thirty one years. According to The Wrap:

The allegation was first reported to the Los Angeles Police Department on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, and was forwarded to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for investigation. The victim, who was 13 years old at the time of the incident, reported the event that occurred in the summer of 1983. Special Victims Bureau detectives are working with New York Police Department authorities on this case.

USA Today elaborates on the latest claim, explaining the gut wrenching fact that the initial investigation was based on claims that date back even earlier than the 1983 incident saying,

"The woman reported the incident two days after New York police confirmed they were investigating decades-old allegations that Collins molested a family acquaintance in Manhattan in the early 1970s."

So sad and incredibly alarming to think that he could have gotten away with these crimes for this extended length of time. We hope, for the victims' sake, this can all be laid to rest soon.
