Are Evan & Emma Meant To Be On 'AHS' Too?

FX’s American Horror Story: Freak Show is finally here and while we know plenty about the cast and their freaky characters, we've only been given a few details about the plot. Naturally, my biggest question at the moment is whether or not Evan Peters' AHS: Freak Show character has a love interest. Luckily, I (and my fellow romance-seekers) won't be disappointed.

But first, here’s what we do know so far: The freak show circus takes place in Jupiter, Florida and the local townspeople so do not want the freaks hanging around. There is a creepy clown killer who begins murdering people because that’s what clowns do best. Luckily, Ryan Murphy has promised us that once someone is dead on the show, they stay dead — there are no witches to bring people back this time. But what about romance among the freaks? (I really just need to know if my "boyfriend" Evan Peters will be hooking up with someone on the show.)

The answer is a big ol' "yes." Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly straight up that Peters and his real life fiancé, Emma Roberts would play love interests this season. And as someone who isn’t the biggest Emma Roberts fan, it kind of annoys me that she’s even on the show, but OK, I guess it makes sense. I was secretly hoping for something to change up AHS' romantic pattern, perhaps with Peters and AHS: Freak Show cast mate Gabourey Sidibe sharing a storyline, but alas we're back to basics. At least we can hope that the real life couple will bring their real life chemistry to the screen.

That being said, romance won't be easy for Peters. He plays Jimmy Darling, the bearded lady’s (Kathy Bates) son. His freak aspect is having hands in the shape of lobster claws, which will certainly make hooking up extremely weird and uncomfortable. “Jimmy is the big man on campus and is the male leader of the group until Michael Chiklis’ character comes,” Murphy said in the same interview, “And they begin to battle for power under Elsa [Jessica Lange].”

Roberts might take to the chemistry game a little more easily: she comes to the big top as a fortuneteller named Maggie Esmerelda. Apparently Roberts' character is a complete con artist and really screws things up for the freaks. Now, I was hoping Roberts' character would be killed off pretty soon into the season, because I'm still not over the rumors that she allegedly hit Peters and went to jail. However, it seems Roberts is in it for the AHS: Freak Show long haul, apparently with Peters' Jimmy by her side.
