If You Didn't Already Love Rosamund, You Will Now

Writing about celebrities and their best (sometimes worst) fashion moments day in and day out means I'm bound to develop a new style crush or six every now and then. (Or, you know, every day). And I think I've finally settled on my latest: Gone Girl actress Rosamund Pike. The beautiful blonde actress has been prepping for her upcoming breakout role in the best way possible over the last several months — by looking stunning every time she steps out of the house, naturally — and it all came to a head on Wednesday when she showed up to NBC's "The Today Show" wearing a monochromatic ensemble that was absolutely flawless.

Sporting an empire waist, sleeveless, and ultra-mod shift dress from Louis Vuitton; a buttery leather, three-quarter-length coat; and leather, ankle-strap, and thick-heeled pumps (the latter two being both from Marni), the actress was a vision of sophistication in her head-to-toe blush look.

Finishing off the flattering and elegant outfit with a pair of dramatically dark (and super cool) black sunglasses, a lack of accessories, barely there makeup, and her adorably fuss-free bob, the ensemble was everything a lady dreams of when she sets out to achieve the effortlessly chic look.

The matchy-matchy trend seems to be heating up in Hollywood these days, with everyone from Jennifer Lopez in head-to-toe turquoise snakeskin to Jessica Chastain in all-over fuchsia donning the one-hued look as of late. And the fact that Pike has proven she can so seamlessly pull off this — and, I'm sure, many other — A-list trends proves that she's definitely a red carpet star in the making.

The best part: The pregnant star hasn't even begun to officially walk the red carpet for Gone Girl, which means we can expect a lot more where this came from. Red carpet nerds, rejoice!
