Her Daughter Is a MENSA Member

You guys, this is so weird. Kristen Bell and I totally have something in common: both of our daughters are geniuses! Wait, your child/niece/nephew/cousin is a genius, too? That's nuts! How are there so many child geniuses toddling around these days? Could it be the organic food we're eating? Ah, who cares! All I know is, the future looks migh-ty bright for us, what with all these mini Steve Jobs being produced. I'm kidding, of course. And so was Bell when she called her daughter a genius, but I kind of love how A) she couldn't resist talking about how smart her daughter, Lincoln, is, and B) she joked about Lincoln being "MENSA" level. Such a mom thing to do. We all think our kids are the smartest, most amazing, hilarious creatures ever created — and we'll tell anyone who will listen. The jokes we throw in simply are so you don't think we're insane and completely out of touch with reality (even though we very well may be).

Bell has always struck me, and most people it seems like, as one of the most down-to-earth celebrities out there. And hearing her brag about her daughter, like a run-of-the-mill mom at playgroup, only solidifies this fact. Kristen, if you're reading this, we should totally get our daughters together. I don't doubt that Lincoln is super smart, but I will say this: My girl was born toilet-trained. Swear.
