Sad news. On Monday, John Stamos lost his mother Loretta Stamos. The matriarch of his family passed away at the age of 75 and on Tuesday, Stamos took to social media to honor her. He posted a throwback picture of them when Stamos was just a baby and accompanied it with this lengthy tribute.
Loretta Stamos – 1939-2014 The love of my life passed away yesterday in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. My mother had enough love to fuel a small country. She was truly one of a kind and will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her. A quick scroll through his Instagram feed and it's easy to tell that Stamos is a family man. In between the selfies of him and famous people (like Paul McCartney!) are frequent pictures of Stamos and his extended family. Sisters, nieces, nephews, and of course, his mother. Stamos and his mom were very close judging by the numerous photos he posted of the pair over the course of the last few years.

It's always sad to lose someone you love, especially when you're so family oriented. But the good news is that Stamos clearly has plenty of people he can lean on in this difficult time, and they can remember his wonderful mother together.
