If you needed any more proof that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to be great, good news: ABC has just released another trailer for the series, and it seems like the show is going to be just as good as anyone who's seen The Avengers (or, like, any Joss Whedon show ever) expected. Which, to be specific, is very good.
First things first, this is definitely a Whedon show. Already, I'm getting a sense of who Whedon is going to write as a lovably, fluffy teddy bear that is just so endearing every single fan can't help but love him — only to have him killed off a few episodes later. Heartstrings will be ripped apart in this series, and no one should expect any less. Secondly, the trailer actually gives us a really good look at what the plot is going to be like: The series will be set after the events of last year's The Avengers, and feature Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) as he puts together a small team of agents to handle crazy cases in their brave new world. Kind of like The X-Files, if Mulder and Scully had superpowers and modern cell phones.
Also, Cobie Smulders! This show just keeps getting better and better.
You can check out the trailer below. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will premiere on ABC on Sept. 24th.
