'The Originals' Season 2 Premiere Is Coming Up So Let's Figure Out What These First Episode Stills Mean — PHOTOS
We're going back to New Orleans, people. And soon. The CW's The Originals Season 2 will premiere on Oct. 6, but the the network's already released a sneak peek at what's in store for its first episode, "Rebirth." The Originals' Season 3 finale left everything up in the air with the return of Esther Mikaelson and Klaus' failed daylight ring catastrophe. So, here we are a few weeks from Season 2 with a million questions from wondering when Rebekah will return to whether or not Haylijah will survive Hayley being a hybrid.
This week, The CW released 11 new photos from "Rebirth" that feature most of the characters we've been wondering about for the past four months (yes, even Josh). So, what do they mean for The Originals Season 2?

A Hayley Intervention
We saw in the Season 2 trailer that Hayley’s officially gone off the hybrid deep-end. And in the Season 2 premiere, Klaus and Elijah will have to try to snap her out of it.

Bodies, Bodies Everywhere
Which apparently includes Elijah handling dead bodies. Maybe Haylijah will survive after all — not just any guy would dispose of your dead bodies for you.

Klaus Is Painting Again
Moody-painter Klaus is clearly making a comeback now that he’s trapped inside of the Original compound.

Things Are Getting Heated On The Other Side Of The River
Maybe Klaus is right to think twice — this photo makes it look like Marcel’s small army in exile is starting to get unruly and turn on their leader. Klaus would not approve.

Pensive Marcel
The more photos of this guy, the better. Am I right? Marcel has to be considering his options at the start of Season 2 while he waits out this war on the other side of the river. Or maybe he’s just wondering whether or not he should set his unruly subjects on fire and end this drama.

Esther & Finn Out In The Sunlight
These two give me the creeps. It gives me even more of the creeps to see them walking around in the daylight as if they own the place.

Francesca's Not Pleased
We saw in the trailer that Francesca’s starting to panic that “Klaus has not set foot outside his house in months.” Did she really think it’d be that easy to kill him now that she’s got those moonlight rings? Ha.

Marcel & Klaus Making Amends?
Cami might very well be the voice of reason in Season 2 if Klaus and Marcel are actually sitting down and having a chat like they appear to be in this photo. Klaus did teach him everything he knows and save him from slavery, there’s got to be a relationship left to salvage between them. Right?

Marcel Pondering
It’s only right for Marcel to wondering whether or not he should consider rubbing elbows with Klaus again or just wait for the werewolves to drive him out of New Orleans so it’s free for the taking. Old power struggles die hard.
