Which Collection Was Best: Barbie Or McDonald's?
Did you catch the Jeremy Scott and Moschino "Think Pink" Barbie-themed runway show yesterday? I've had the proverbial hearts in my eyes ever since I first caught a glimpse of the huge, platinum blonde wigs and bubblegum pink leather jackets on Instagram yesterday afternoon. I mean, we get into talking nostalgia a lot (earlier this week, it was $2k handbags highly reminiscent of Lisa Frank) and Barbie's kind of the ultimate throwback in that respect — and Moschino totally delivered. There were pink motorcycle jackets that you know 7-year-old you would have died for, as well as some truly fun frothy numbers that looked fit for My Size Barbie and her best friend (and I mean that in the best way possible).
That said, I couldn't help but think of Jeremy Scott's last effort with Moschino: a presentation featuring McDonald's-inspired pieces. It stirred up a good deal of controversy at the time, but it's actually gotten a lot of play since it debuted at Milan Fashion Week last winter — it would seem every celebrity from Mindy Kaling to Ariana Grande has taken a shine to the whimsical nature of French Fry box-shaped cell phone cases.
So with that in mind, I think it's time for a little friendly competition: who did it better? Let's compare:
Statement bags
Okay, heart-shaped? Pink? Quilted? Beaded? Mini? It's seriously to die for — not that I'm hyperbolic or anything.
That is way too adorable. That said, I never could resist a heart-shaped purse so...
Barbie: 1, McDonald's: 0
Styling
It's really hard to compete with Barbie Classic (pageant girl platinum blonde hair, false eyelashes abounds and bubblegum pink lipstick)...
... Though these ultra-trendy pixie cuts give them a definite run for their money.
Barbie: 2, McDonalds: 0
Phone Cases
Kind of perfect, given how most of us have used our phone as a mirror at least once (come on guys, back me up here!)
Okay, the mirror-shaped case is definitely good for a laugh, but as a person who lives with food as her main purpose for living? I have to give it to the fries.
Barbie: 2, McDonald's: 1
Fabulosity
Come on, that is some Barbie realness.
It doesn't get much better than Karen Gillan modeling your clothes — which gives McDonald's a bit of an unfair advantage, but hey: that's how the cookie crumbles.

A tie — I guess that leaves it up to the eye of the beholder! Which collection do you prefer?
