Their New Album Is On the Way!

Hello? HELLO??? Are there any One Direction fans out there? Oh, sorry, I couldn't hear you over the sounds of your own screams. If you're a One Direction fan, you probably keep their website open constantly on your laptop, phone, and tablet you use specifically for One Direction-related activities, and have already heard the exciting news. If you're anyone else and simply enjoy grooving to "Story of My Life" when it comes on in the supermarket, then prepare yourself for a new catchy tune or two. What am I talking about? One Direction announced their new album on Monday morning and along with it are giving fans the chance to download their new song "Fireproof" for free! Cue the virtual stampede.

The new album is called Four and will be released Nov. 17. They've also released the cover art for the album. As 1D explains on their website,

We're so excited to announce our fourth album, FOUR! We've worked incredibly hard writing and recording it whilst we've been on the road and we couldn't have done it without your support. As a special thank you for everything you guys have done for us we wanted to give you 'Fireproof' - it's a track from the album and you can get it for free right now. You'll be able to download it for free for the next 24 hours. We hope you enjoy it and we can't wait for you to listen to the album in full. Thank you, you guys mean the world to us.

And as if that wasn't enough, the guys also recorded a video explaining everything. I guess for those people who would rather watch a video of One Direction talking over and over again rather than reread a paragraph they wrote.

As you can see, these guys are really going all out to make their fans happy. As they should! They have some of the most passionate fans in the world and it's going to mean a lot to them to have a video of guys talking, a free downloadable song, an album cover, a release date, and a little note thanking fans.

If you need proof, just look to the old saying: Where a boy band releaseth new music, the fans start tweeting up a stormeth. (I believe that's how it goes...) So far, the fan reaction on Twitter has been overwhelmingly positive because, well, they're One Direction and they can do no wrong! What are you, CRAZY?!?!
