An important television event took place last night, ICYMI: The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell TV movie aired last night, and in addition to being a lot of things, it was first and foremost godawful. But, of course, that's why we all watched it, isn't it? I don't know about you, but I assume no one tuned in hoping to view the next Emmy-winning project. Turns out, one of these people who tuned in to see the bad and the ugly of it all was none other than former Saved By the Bell star himself Mario Lopez, and he tweeted all about The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell project as he watched it. It was hilarious, and probably better than the movie itself.
Mostly, Lopez was retweeting fans who had tagged him in their own tweets about how awful the movie was, and agreeing with their sentiments. But, there were a few, not-as-hilarious additions of his own — mostly to plug his upcoming book, Just Between Us . Like this one: "Sept 30th you'll get an accurate idea of SBTB #justbetweenus." It was only really funny when he'd comment on people's hatred the film, because he seemed to hate it just as much as everyone else:
Always great to see celebs hating on the same stuff the rest of us do.
