The Best Fashion Instagrams of The Week

The countdown to Fashion Week has officially begun (T-minus five days, for anyone who's keeping track), and designer wares have taken to Instagram in full force. From perfectly tailored column dresses to tweed shifts and knee-high boots, it seems that celebrities are in the mood to show of their sartorial know-how.

After a summer spent in easy slip dresses, slouchy trousers, and chic bikinis, it can a chore to dress oneself in a wardrobe that evokes high-powered professionalism and the need for warmth, so I imagine slipping into next season's designer clothing is a small form of comfort. I'm convinced that no one is immune to these transition-season woes, and judging by the latest crop of celebrity Instagrams, I may be correct. It appears that in a warm-up for fashion week and perhaps confusion regarding what to wear in the last fading days of summer, celebrities have split their ranks. Some are fully embracing fall clothing even though the temperature hasn't yet dropped (Ciara, I'm looking at you), and some aren't quite ready to relinquish their jorts and sunnies just yet (that would be one Pretty Little Liar Shay Mitchell). But no matter what their motivation, these five celebrities owned the week in terms of style.

1. MINDY KALING

Mindy Kaling went for a full-on femme fatale look in Zero + Maria Cornejo dress, black pumps, and bombshell curls.

2. CARA DELEVINGNE

This Vogue Japan cover look, modeled by the lovely Cara Delevingne, couldn't be more appropriate for fall 2014 trends if it tried.

3. ASHLEY BELL

Neon lace inserts, a nude bias cut design, and a demure, high neckline? This Wes Gordon dress speaks for itself. Or perhaps it's Ashley Bell who makes it exceptional?

4. SHAY MITCHELL

This Pretty Little Liar's look is simultaneously vintage-inspired, sultry, relaxed, and Coachella-appropriate; not an easy feat for one outfit with a diminutive amount of fabric.

5. CIARA

I may simply be blinded by the sheer amount of autumnal designer wares on display in this Instagram snap, but Ciara does appear to have put this look together admirably. Hopefully the heavy coat she's sporting isn't attracting too much of that Los Angeles sunshine.
