That 'Friends' Reunion Happened After All

It might have been years since Friends was on television, but most people would be lying if they told you they didn't know some or all of the theme song. Of course, Courteney Cox shot down the likelihood of a Friends reunion and broke so many hearts in the process, but it appears that some fans never gave up on that dream. Specifically, Jimmy Kimmel never gave up, and on Jimmy Kimmel Live! he gave us the closest thing we have to seeing that dream become a reality. Kimmel reunited the Friends cast for a fanfiction scene reading and it was ten times more hilarious than any Friends episode.

Beginning with an interview with Jennifer Aniston, Kimmel revealed that he'd written himself into Friends in a fanfiction and persuaded Aniston to read the screenplay with him. With Kimmel as Ross, the two discussed a plan to make love before being interrupted by Cox, or Monica, who also wanted to discuss how great Ross was at lovemaking — incestuous overtones notwithstanding. Even Lisa Kudrow, as Phoebe, joined in to discuss Ross' epic lovemaking skills. Add that to a deadpan rendition of the Friends theme song and Kimmel pointing out that this scene was no less ridiculous than the Friends cast being able to afford that New York apartment on their salaries and this special episode of Friends totally makes up for the fact that the show's not getting a revival.

Well, almost. It would have been better had Aniston been wearing the Rachel wig. And, you know, if Chandler and Joey hadn't been dead. Check out the sketch below.
