At The 2014 'VMA' Red Carpet, Leather Reigned Supreme Proving We Should All Add Some Biker-Inspired Pieces To Our Fall Wardobes
The red carpet at the VMAs is a place where stars can flaunt their slightly edgier fashion choices. And as far as trends go, we've seen them all: cut outs, thigh-high slits, crazy prints, and even meat. (OK, this wasn't a trend, just Lady Gaga. But you get the point.) But this year, the trend is something much more simple — good old leather. From Ariana Grande to the host of the red carpet herself, Lucy Hale, the stars were loving that shiny stuff. It makes me wish the carpet itself had been made of leather. But I'm taking this trend as a sign. I'll be busting out my trusty, leather jacket for the upcoming Fall/Winter season — and hunting down a leather crop top ASAP.
Victoria Justice
Justice rocked her leather feathers and white crop-top.
Lucy Hale
Hale made leather cute in this halter crop-top and full-length skirt.
Miley Cyrus
Cyrus is surprisingly chic in this bandeau and high-waisted pants.
Chanel Iman
Iman made edgy leather even edgier by flaunting this woven dress on the red carpet.
Cher Lloyd
I love that Lloyd experimented with a colored leather, I just wish she didn’t blend into the carpet.
Nina Dobrev
Not ready to go all leather? Add a cool accent, like Dobrev’s belt.
