T.I. & Tiny's Music Spells Trouble for the Pair

It's a tale as old as time — boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy marries girl, boy and girl have kids, boy and girl have marital issues, girl becomes the estranged wife, etc. — and it seems VH1 reality stars T.I. and Tiny are experiencing this first-hand. If you're not so informed on all of the happenings regarding Southern rap star T.I. and his wife, Tiny, let me be your guide. To be honest, things are getting a little crazy between this couple and I'm not sure their VH1 reality series T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle will survive this.

The drama all began when Tiny, or Tameka to some, posted a picture of herself with Floyd Mayweather's daughter, Iyanna. T.I. was apparently not very happy about the pic, confronted Mayweather, things got violent, and of course you know the entire brawl was caught on tape by TMZ because that's just how things are when you're a celebrity, I guess. A few months later, Mayweather claimed that he had sex with Tiny, then said he was misheard and never slept with Tiny. Long story short, this whole Mayweather thing has really tested T.I. and Tiny's marriage. T.I.'s now-estranged wife hasn't posted much about him over the last couple of weeks on social media outlets and the most recent post I could find was from almost a month ago, though it was overwhelmingly positive as she celebrated their wedding anniversary.

Now here's where the whole thing gets a bit confusing. Just a week earlier, Tiny Instagrammed a screenshot from a Youtube video for a new song T.I. just released. The song, entitled "Stay," seems to be about Tiny when you look at the lyrics. The song is definitely personal and explores many elements of their relationship that the VH1 series doesn't even touch.

Put you in a wedding dress with a train on it. I went spent a whole mill just to go chill in Miami I’ll be damned if she don’t know my love real. How dare you compare me to dude? Girl, chill. Might be so close up on it you don’t see what it is. Shawty, I’ll die, kill for you if you keep it real... I ain’t trippin cuz you caught me out there. But your reaction to it pushed me further out there. I can’t see you with no me. But you left me, and I’m just me. So I’m gon' be what they gon' be. And I know he want you, but they want me. Girl, together or apart. I bet you’ll be forever in my heart. I swear. If anything we end it here I know it’s hard.

It definitely seems like T.I. is conflicted, but what a lot of you may not know is Tiny released a little song of her own, entitled "What The F@#K You Gon' Do?" Where T.I. revealed a bit of his soul on his track, Tiny had heaps and heaps of shade to throw at her estranged husband.

"Don’t keep trippin' on me; You know he want it anyway. Don’t be sleepin' on me, Cuz I don’t wanna ride out on ya, baby. All I wanna do is stay down for you. But you make it so hard not to give up on you. If I leave then, what the f-ck you gon do?"

It's hard to tell if there will be any reconciliation between the two after these bizarre diss/love song/public airing of their relationship dirty laundry anthems have been released. I know one person who thinks T.I. and Tiny belong together, besides me: T.I.'s mother. His mother took to Instagram a few months ago to let Tiny know she thought it was time to squash the beef between Tiny and her son. I've got to say, that's probably the most strange way for a family member to contact someone about something of this caliber, but I respect the technique.

She commented on a picture of Tiny out with friends, "Tameka you look happy with your friends, but nothing, absolutely nothing can replace the feeling of being happy with your man! Please have a serious talk with Tip?"

Well the saying momma knows best was created for a reason. Maybe T.I.'s mother is right? With these last collection of Instagram shots from T.I., I'm not fully sure this couple will be publicly reconciling anytime soon, though Tiny has said that they are "working on it."

This is one couple that loves to put on a show. I'm making some popcorn and watching to see how this all plays out.
