Zoe Saldana, Michelle Dockery, and More Celebs Kick Off 2014 Emmy's Week In Style with Bold Prints and Simple Dresses
The 2014 Emmy Awards are finally upon us (in case you couldn't tell by the many best-Emmys-gowns-ever roundups and countless who-will-win predictions floating around the Internet). And after preoccupying ourself with anger our over Tatiana Maslany's Emmy nomination snub and taking a stab at which stars will wear Paris Couture Fashion Week gowns to the 2014 Emmy Awards for the last several weeks, we've gotten what we've been waiting for at last: a glimpse of what this year's Emmy fashion may look like, thanks to the Audi Emmys Week Celebration in Los Angeles on Thursday evening. And if stars like Zoe Saldana, Michelle Dockery, and Jessica Paré are any indication, it looks like this year's awards will be a mix of in-your-face patterns and minimally chic ensembles. Click through to see all the best the red-carpet looks from the pre-Emmys bash.
Michelle Dockery
Dockery couldn’t have looked more sophisticated in her structured, midi-length dress, whose emerald green hue played gorgeously against her fair skin, dark hair, and bold red lip.
Jessica Paré
The Mad Men star gets my vote for best-dressed of the evening, thanks to the stunning print and sultry slit on this two-tone gown.
Julie Bowen
A few studs, a subtle pattern, and a vivid hue are all it takes to make Bowen’s basic dress beyond beautiful.
Sarah Hyland
The Modern Family star’s outfit may feature a classic color combo, but the sexy peek at her lacy black bra is anything but run of the mill.
Cat Deeley
Deeley opted for a color-packed shade of pink and a side-ruffled mini for an eye-catching look at the pre-Emmys event.
Padma Lakshmi
The flattering fit of this black-and-white sheath dress gives Lakshmi a distinct boss-lady feel (in all the best ways).
Vinessa Shaw
Packing one last floral-print dress into the summer red carpet season, Shaw looked lovely and ladylike in her pastel-hued number.
Taryn Manning
Because what’s a pre-awards show red carpet without one good LBD?
