If you're looking for that perfect adult cartoon-inspired beauty look, well, your day has come. MAC is officially releasing a Simpsons-inspired collection in early September and yes, I am just as surprised as you are. Does it make sense? Well, the collection is coming out in celebration of the show's 25th anniversary, so I guess it kind of seems logical. Still a little confused? Don't worry, me too. But hey, this is MAC we're talking about; they pretty much can do whatever the heck they want when it comes to cosmetics, and it's all going to be awesome in the end regardless. It's impressive, really. Don't question it.
So what does a Simpsons-inspired makeup collection look like you might be wondering to yourselves? Well, it's basically just generally great MAC makeup (pink blush, bold eyeshadow, fun lipgloss) in electric, Simspon-fied colors. Oh, and nail stickers with Marge Simpson's face on them of course. Because if you're going to make a Simpsons makeup collection, that only makes sense.
The collection's colors are a little off-the-wall — remember, the whole thing inspired by a cartoon show — but provide opportunities for bold color combinations and fun ways to complement an otherwise bland look. And who doesn't need a little orange lip gloss in their life, right?
The collection is will be sold in entirely new, limited-edition packaging and is available to purchase online as soon as August 28. MAC The Simpsons will also be available to purchase in stores from September 4 to October 2.
