No matter which social media site you check, you can't escape the Ice Bucket Challenge. From Facebook posts to Instagram videos, everyone in our feeds is dumping water on their heads lately. Since it's for an important cause (raising awareness and funds for ALS), it's great to see celebs jumping on the bandwagon. After all, they have more cash lying around than the rest of us, right? The latest to join in the freezing-cold fun: Britney Spears. Britney Spears posted her Ice Bucket Challenge video on Instagram Monday and her nominee was quite surprising.
Britney's little sis Jamie Lynn Spears nominated her, and come on, you can't say no to family. So Brit-Brit got a big, old bucket of water dumped on her for the sake of charity. Plus, it was the perfect opportunity to promote one of her old songs. Yup, "Break The Ice." Not sure if you remember it (I barely do and I consider myself an avid fan), but she not-so-subtly threw the hashtag #BreakTheIce on her post. She also used the hashtags #OMG and #SoCold, of course.
Interestingly enough, she nominated Adam Sandler. Am I the only one who didn't know they were friends? I mean, everyone's a fan of Billy Madison, but I can't really imagine him and Britney hanging out. She also nominated her boyfriend David Lucado and business manager Robin Greenhill. At least those choices make sense.
