Her New Instagram Post Looks So Painful

Remember that moment in The Parent Trap when an adorable young Lindsay Lohan-played Hallie Parker convinces her newly discovered twin sister Annie James to pierce her ears by using an apple and a needle? Up until now, that was the most traumatic, painful viewing experience of my life — and I didn't even personally go through it. Now, though, after seeing this, I have a new traumatic experience: Katy Perry’s posted an Instagram video of her getting her nose pierced. I can confidently confirm, now, I will never get a piercing.

Captioned: “Last time I did this was on my own with a safety pin & cube of ice @ 13. This time I thought it was best I left it to the pro’s. Sorry mom (again),” the video of Perry’s piercing looks pretty damn painful.

Although she does yell “ow” during the process, her reaction was a bit delayed and makes me wonder if the drama was just for the video. Then again, she had a giant needle sticking through her nose, so I wouldn’t doubt it if her response was genuine either.

Perry’s Instagram video was so tempting to watch, and watch it I did — but I still think I would prefer to see normal celebrity selfies from now on. And after Lady Gaga allowed the public to have a live viewing of one of her tattoos not too long ago, I feel that celebs should probably refrain from posting their physically painful personal events on social media — for my sake, at least.
