Watch Johnny Depp Be a Rich Perv in 'Mortdecai'

We are now accustomed to the Johnny Depp of present day. The actor is no longer chasing indie flicks, dramatic roles or outcasts with scissors for hands, he is the mainstream weirdo. Over the past decade we've seen Depp's career (d)evolve to the likes of Willy Wonka, Alice in Wonderland, The Lone Ranger, and of course — 27,000 Pirates of the Caribbean titles. So we were more than a little excited to see what would become of Mortecai, Johnny Depp's latest film that was neither produced by Disney nor directed by Tim Burton. Hooray!

According to IMDB, the film follows: "Art dealer Charles Mortdecai searches for a stolen painting that's reportedly linked to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold." From the likes of the trailer, Depp appears to be as drunken and bumbling as Jack Sparrow and as crude as well, Jack Sparrow. Luckily, we get Sparrow dressed up this time, adorned in fine beige pantsuits and slicked back blonde hair. He's even got an old-timey mustache, so you know he must be wealthy as f*ck.

Paul Bettany plays his valet, Jock, and other big name stars are also on board: Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Goldblum, Olivia Munn and Ewan McGregor. David Koepp will direct, and like any modern blockbuster, you can expect to twiddle your thumbs for a while before this raunchy picture hits theatres. Mortdecai is slated for a February 6, 2015 release.
