Will Arnett Is Better Than Most at Karate Piñata

by Tanya Ghahremani

Here's a fun game that you will immediately want to try with all of your friends in your backyard (or, if you live in NYC like me, on the roof of your building, I guess? I don't recommend that. Please don't do that.) On last night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Will Arnett played a game of "karate piñata," while he was on the show to promote his upcoming film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yes, I was kind of surprised he's in that movie too, to be honest, but that's besides the point!

Anyway, after confirming season 5 of Arrested Development (!!!), Arnett took to the floor of the Tonight Show studios in NYC to play the game, which is, as the title suggests, a cross between karate and piñata. Instead of using a baseball bat to break open a piñata, Arnett was required to use his feet with repeated high kicks. It's obviously something Bruce Lee could have easily done, but it takes Arnett a while to really connect with one of the piñatas. He eventually does, though, and I think it's safe to say he's probably better at this game than most of us — unless you are a karate master — are.
