Nicki Minaj has been in the news a lot lately. From her insta-hit "Bang Bang" to a supposed feud with Iggy Azaela, she's been making headlines. On top of that, her single "Anaconda" is getting mixed reviews. Basically, she's got a lot going on. Another topic of discussion? Whether or not she's dating Safaree Samuels. There are even rumors they're engaged, but it's a topic she isn't willing to discuss. In her cover story for Fader magazine's August/September issue, Minaj refuses to comment on Safaree Samuels and whether they're together. The fact that Samuels was on set with her for the magazine's photo shoot is an indication of something, right?
Still, Minaj kept her mouth shut. The Fader writer explains,
I mention that there are new tabloid rumors that she and Samuels were recently engaged, and she stares straight ahead for several moments, expressionless, as though she’s trying to will the question away.
Hmm, very interesting. It's smart that she's not one to blab about her relationships and really does keep her private life private. Nevertheless, I can't help but wonder what's really going on with the two of them.
According to Wiki Minaj (which is an actual website that I wish I thought of first), Samuels is Minaj's assistant and best friend, and he worked as the co-executive producer of her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. In March, there were rumors they were engaged after the two took a trip to Cabo. This was right after she posted an Instagram about celebrating a 10-year anniversary with someone.
She may not talk about Samuels much, but let's take a look at the evidence. You can decide for yourself if they're "best friends" or something more.

This is the Cabo trip referenced above, which happened right after someone gave her that teddy bear and rose wreaths.
While we can speculate all we we want (and it sure seems likely), no one can confirm the relationship until she does. I bet right now she's laughing at all of us for caring so much about her personal life. You win, Nicki!
