Zooey Deschanel & Jamie Linden Are Donezo

I gotta be honest when I say that I had no idea that Zooey Deschanel was even dating anyone, but alas: Deschanel and boyfriend Jamie Linden have broken up. According to Us Magazine they'd been together for two years, so 1) that must be pretty sad for them, and 2) where the hell have I been?

Deschanel's known widely for her starring role on New Girl and, before that, for the unfortunate confaltion of her with the Manic Pixie Dreamgirl trope and as the blonde singing lady in Elf. It would also appear as if Deschanel has moved on from Linden: She's reportedly dating a producer on her new film Rock the Kasbah, in that movie she's starring alongside Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, and Kate Hudson.

Linden, for his part, is a screenwriter — he's written the screenplays for We Are Marshall, Dear John, and 10 Years, and he directed the latter. He started seeing Deschanel not too long after her 2012 divorce from Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard. It's obvious that Deschanel's the one coming out on top here — not because she's dating someone new but because she gets to take pictures like these with Bill Murray:
