Now, Nick Wants Andi & Josh to Be Happy

by Tanya Ghahremani

So, it's not exactly what I'd expect from someone who more or less slut shamed a girl after she dumped him on national television, but, you know, I guess that's what reality television is supposed to be: Unpredictable. According to Us Magazine, losing Bachelorette finalist Nick Viall commented on Andi Dorfman's new relationship with Josh Murray, saying that he thinks "the world of her," and would like them all to remain friends after this. You know, barring any awkwardness about the fact that she dumped him on a dating TV show and chose another guy who she's now engaged to.

""Last night was a little bit unexpected. I certainly wish them all the happiness in the world. Josh, for much of the time before things got a little awkward, was a very close friend of mine," Viall said. "I think the world of him and I think the world of her. It's a difficult situation for all of us." That's nice, but it's maybe not a difficult situation for Andi — after all, she's engaged, and looks pretty happy with her decision based on these TMZ photos. Also, as revealed in the finale of Bachelorette last night, he made repeated attempts to contact Dorfman after filming of the series ended...to no avail.

But, if calling this whole thing a "difficult situation for all of us" is what helps Viall feel better, who am I to burst his bubble?

Viall continued: "I don't have any resentment or anger towards them. It's a difficult situation and it still makes me sad. I'm still hurt and heartbroken about it, but that doesn't mean I don't wish them all the best...I do, in a lot of ways, miss that friendship I had with Josh. I don't know if it will ever be the same, but it would be cool if we could all get to that point where it was possible."

All joking aside, this is a nice gesture. At least he's saying nice things in public instead of making, as Dorfman called it, "below the belt" comments because he's too bitter that he just got dumped. Progress!
